Baela
The island of Baela is split up into seven distinct geographic areas, with differing fauna, plants and landmarks. However the island as a whole, being close to a magical fault line that separates this realm with the realms of the Fey has magical protections to keep itself safe from invaders and those that want to pillage the wonders of its natural beauty.
Baela is home to five nomadic tribes that are constantly migrating between the various regions. The tribes for the most part keep a strict neutrality between each other, however a few tribes are friendly with each other and a few have a strong hated, based on their belief of whether Ashanndoor Moorelye or Amanndeen Moorelye is the rightful replacement for the deceased Goddess of the Moon.

Determining Starting Locations
Prior to starting your campaign, randomizing the location of each tribe can give interesting starting motivations. Roll a d12 for each tribe. If any tribe besides the Clan of the Sapphire Storms rolls a (12), they start in their default starting location. If more than one clan rolls the same location, depending on their allegiances, this can be considered formal tribal war, or mutual camping - at the discretion of the DM.Religion and Worship in Baela
The nomadic tribes worship the God of the Sun and the Goddess of the Moon, however who exactly holds the current title of "Goddess of the Moon" is in hot debate since Tekotsha Moorelye, perished during the "War of the Gods". The tribes are split in who they believe is the rightful heir between Tekotsha's two twin children, Ashanndoor and Amanndeen. One tribe refuses to believe that Tekotsha is really deceased and continues to devote their worship to the original Goddess of the Moon. Mentioning your belief that on or the other child is the rightful Goddess can both help and/or hinder relationships among the tribes and as such many visitors abstain from choosing sides.Geography
There are seven recognized regions of Baela. The Northern Islands which feature a wide array of biodiversity and features. The Northern Jungles which takes up the entire northern part of the island and is primarily wild jungles and cliffs. The Central Highlands which feature sprawling hills and the central mountain chain of the island. The Eastern Savanna, vast grasslands with large aggressive game to hunt. The Southern Jungles featuring a mixture of swampy half submerged jungles and a plethora of amphibious creatures, and finally the Southern Islands featuring Baela's largest island filled with hot springs, mud and quicksand.
