A Dark Time in the Dragonkin Nation

During the later centuries of the Age of Expansion, Drakoll had been engaging in a planned Genocide against their own people. The Chromatic Dragonkin had previously been banished from the nation, but the Council of Queens went one step further and placed a bounty on them. Anyone who brought the head of a Chromatic to any of the cities of Drakoll could collect a sizeable payment. This became known as the "Gortleortess", draconic for "Great Betrayal".
Once knowledge of the bounties became more widely known, the other nations and city-states of Beltiar, including the newly unified kingdom of Geyrvohn, banded together to establish sanctions against the Dragonkin nation and the Metallic leaders. Unfortunately, it was still over a decade before the practice was officially abandoned.
Rumors hint at something dark and sinister still happening in the heart of the Queendom.
