Theft at the Temple of Rest - Resolved

Upon returning to Raven's Crest, the party learned that something was stolen from the Temple of Rest. Fearing that agents of the Dark King's Cult had made their move to recover his skull, they rushed to the temple to learn that the item stolen was a relic known as the Raven's Eye, a large black diamond set into a scepter. This was used as a focus for some of the most powerful divine rituals, including Resurrection.   Their preliminary investigation revealed that the sigils and locks where the relic had been stored showed signs of being tampered with. In addition, Straeva's son showed a drawing of the footprint he had discovered while cleaning. Eldon recognized the boot style typical of goblins.   Through a Commune spell, it was confirmed that the Eye was taken north and it is more than five days away on foot. The party suspected that the gem was in Bilgewater along with Wraith, but when they arrived, the group had already left. Kemmek, the goblin mercenary spared by the party told them that a thief, a goblin femaled named Ilsli, working for Wraith arrived in town a couple weeks ago with a wagon and a pair of manatechnicians. She was acting very pleased about a "big score", though he didn't know what she had stolen.   It is assumed that this item is still in Wraith's possession. The party found the gem and after a difficult fight, they recovered the gem and returned it to Straeva the the Temple of Rest.

An undead entity called Bessar'loth is protecting the Skull of the Dark King at the Temple of Rest. High Priestess Straeva is able to initiate communication between the spirit and ourselves, via the use of a ritual. The entity seems to now be more active, rather than dormant, since Eldon touched the box containing the skull. Bessar'loth, when alive, was a disciple of the Raven Queen. His spirit is bound to both the temple and the skull, protecting it from potential disruption. Straeva has used glyphs of warding, and has enrolled more priests to come and protect the area.
