This place is somewhat... mystifying.

A stretch of shoreline with two notable features: an expanse of stones and a perpetually dense mist. The base of the shore is made up of naturally hexagonal columns often covered with piles of loose, rough stones. These rough stones which are visible across the shoreline are not what they seem to be at first glance. The Misty Shore and its strange mist is dangerous as can be attested by the many creatures who venture there never leave.
The Misty Shore are located on the southern edge of the Continental Island of Dammerung- lying directly north of Visus Island.

Petrifaction

The shore's perpetual mist is relatively benign for some and deadly for others. Sometimes, survivors tell tales of times when the mist lashes out to any unfortunate enough to be caught within it. Entire flocks of migratory birds have been known to fall asleep one night only to have turned to stone by next morning. In other cases, creatures will spend a night along the shore without incident. Petrifaction events appear occur randomly. As such, traveling along the Misty Shore is a gamble.

Obscured Crystals

Obscured within the mists of the Misty Shore are deposits of colorful crystals. The crystals continue into the Occulus Sea, with the source of their growth lying within the submerged ruins of Submerso. These crystals may be responsible for the strange mist that grips this particular stretch of shoreline.
The crystal growths are not limited to the land, but can be found growing on the flora and fauna of this region. The larger and more numerous the crystals on a creature or plant, the older they are. This kind of life are immune to the region's unexplained petrifying process at the cost of reduce lifespans.
Magic Crystals exist in this region, though it can be difficult to distinguish them from non-magical crystals.

Kivistuma Forest

Just beyond the shore is a forest where all the trees and plants and even some wildlife have been turned to stone. It is likely the same force that petrifies creatures who linger too long on the Misty Shore itself. As one ventures further away from the Misty Shore they will find that Kivistuma is only a part of the larger Rikas Forest.
