Private Valley

No one really pays the valley much mind. At least not yet. It's been a good place for those looking to get away from the larger world.
— Artur Neha, Traveler

Overview

The Private Valley is so named by the inhabitants of the Secluded Town of Greensward, and it is known as the Mikró Valley to most outsiders. The private valley lies nearby the much larger and much better known Isychia Valley.
Private Valley is located along the southern slopes of the Evening Mountains. The valley is hidden from sight from a distance. Private Valley's most notable feature are the three woods.

Three Woods

There are three forests within the valley, each with their own characteristics.   Evergreen Woods - Most trees of the Evergreeen Woods are evergreens. Hence the name. This is perhaps the most 'normal' of the three woods with its most intriguing feature being the deep and fish-filled pond- the Fishing Pond as its called. A variety of resources are gathered in these woods, notably venison, by the inhabitants of Greensward.     Ancient Woods - Most trees in Awldor are no older than around 1200 years as that's when most of them began to recover. As such, most forests of the world are quite young. Some forests have survived mostly intact through the wild magic years of The Great Collapse. The Ancient Woods is one example, some of its trees are tall and gnarly indicating that they are much older than 1200 years. They say that these trees are so old that they have developed an awareness- or perhaps they were always aware.   For the peoples of the valley, the Ancient Woods is the place to go to get berries and fruits the trees there provide. These only being harvest around the edge of the forest. Taking anything more or proceeding further into the forest is said to draw a curse upon the interloper.     Shifting Woods - The Shifting Woods is never quite the same from one moment to the next. If one stays within these woods any longer than seven days then they may find themselves facing an unfamiliar road in every direction. As such, those traveling this wood should do so quickly. There are two competing theories as to why the woods are alive in this manner. The first is that the trees are alive and that they are restless. The second is that the trees move according to the wishes of hermetic druids. The druids have yet to be found, leaving the first theory as the favored one.   The inhabitants of Greensward have settled on the Shifting Woods as the place to get lumber. Most of the wood gathered is usually already dead, as the forest tends to shuffle freshly fallen trees to the wood's edge as well as other woodland debris.
