My Dearest monarchs, ministers and tyrants, As you are away I am Daelan Ceardai, recently given the title of the dark smith. Thank you ever so kindly. I am the creator of the Alloy Casters and as you've so recently discovered the creator of what has been fittingly dubbed "Daelan's Quill." It has come to my attention that there have been some enquiries on the methods I use to create weapons for your wars. Well whilst I'm sure you have relished committing murder and other unethical acts I completely understand that you have some divine right to judge my actions despite your ignorance of them. I write this missive to you, my esteemed quarrelling customers to lay your concerns at rest. I can assure you that the methods I use for creation are a violation of both mortal and veldren rights. Obviously, I use slaves to achieve such means but that is only due to the high demands of my work provided by your lovely business. Well, that's what I hear the townsfolk say at least. You, the leaders of the world could have enquired in so many ways as to the nature of my work. Instead, I hear such rumours as mentioned above. Next thing I know both townsfolk and armed soldiers are banging at my door with the intention of ripping my limbs that have provided for their nation's wars. You have handled this with all the grace of a Sistipant taking an arctic fox to bed. So to reach the finality of this letter, I inform you that I lay my hammer to rest. All production will be ceased and I shall disappear. I hope you find another Dark Smith to carry out your work but judging on the collective intelligence of a fish between the lot of you... I doubt it. My least sincere regards, Daelan Ceardai.
