Hantou is a very human country. It has small populations of Dwarves, mostly situated around the mining regions of Hantau. There are also tribes of Jungle Elves that reside in the jungles. Very few non-Jungle Elves exist in Hantou and those Jungle Elves do not leave the jungle generally and so very rarely would be found in the cities. The island country of Nyamene sits off the south coast of Hantou. The home of Feldeni, Hantau does house a significant number of Feldeni that have crossed across the ocean.

Leadership

Hantou is currently run by Ministar Prima Chen Lian and the Hall of Ministars, a collection of individuals chosen by the Ministar Prima. The Ministars (which is the Old Tongue word for servants) deal with the day-to-day running of the country. Each Ministar is in charge of a different facet of the country's wellbeing.

Climate

Hantou is a warm and humid country. When it rains, it rains. Hantau will take days of searing sticky sun followed by days of torrential rain.

Wealth

After the 10 Year Winter (~5,000BCE), large deposits of platinum were discovered once the ice had melted and the cracked mountainsides beneath revealed themselves. Hantou has relied on these deposits as they were the only large scale seams in the entirety of Axora. This meant Hantou was the only mass producer of the metal. Since platinum is the highest value metal in the monetary system of Axora, the discovery made Hantou the richest nation basically overnight.
5,000 years later and those deposits have run out. Thankfully, under Chen Lian's stewardship, Hantou has invested its vast wealth into agreements with other nations, allowing it to run itself off its existing wealth for years to come even though it cannot produce more.
