Session 2: Into the Forest

General Summary

In the Kobold caves, the group (Falco Thunukalathi, Jraxler Rahman and Zeth'rim along with Podrin Walker) investigated the main cavern further. A passage in the based of a raised platform of rock led them to be on top of the platform, upon which they found a crude throne carved out of the stone, seemingly this winged Kobold they vanquished was being regarded as a ruler amongst the Kobolds in these caves. They also discovered the stash of good, most of which was Podrin's cargo but there were a few extra items there. Amongst them, two items of magical nature that Zeth'rim took.
The group brought the haul back to Halatir's Haven - Ullford, where an enthusiastic Halatir's Haven - Ullford thanked for them for their service and rewarded them in kind. Just then, a Dwarven fellow entered the store and handed an item, an amulet of some kind, to Halatir. Halatir hurriedly took the amulet into the back and also paid this Dwarf in a similar manner. Apparently, he had hired to find this amulet. The group, and the new Dwarf, who had identified himself as Soldunn Darkhold retired to the tavern and quickly made their way back to their rooms to turn in for the night.
The morning brought a new intriguing thread to follow for this motley band. It seemed that the wolf attack that three of them had suffered was not an isolated incident. The local wolf population had been sighted far more frequently the last few days. Normally, they keep themselves to themselves in the forests to the south of Ullford. Old Jack, in particular, had lost plenty of livestock. They visited Old Jack and managed to pick up a trail to follow. The trail somewhat disappeared but the group stumbled across a deer carcass, seemingly ripped apart by a large bird of some kind, judging by the talon marks and a large brown feather found by Jraxler.
Heading deeper into the forest, they encountered a wolf trapped in a mass of spider's web, about to be preyed upon by several giant spiders. The giant spiders were no match for the group and now partially trusting wolf (who was freed almost instantly). Again, Jraxler's knowledge noted that these woods are not home to spiders of this size normally, but the markings were consistent of regular sized spider species.

From the Kobold stash: Medallion of the Night and a Southern Dagger of Reflexes (both in Zeth'rim's possession)
From Halatir: 50 gold pieces each and one minor magical item. Falco received the Surgeon's Ring, Zeth'rim received some Acolyte's Bracers, Jraxler was given Leather Armor of Warding and Soldunn acquired Inquisitor's Bracers.
