Blacksmith and Jeweler's Guild
Ran by the Anvilheart brothers, Ballur Anvilheart and Dolrim Anvilheart, it is the primary guild for, well, blacksmiths and jewelers. Because it is located in Dar Boldar it is mostly inhabited by Dwarves, but most smiths who wish to perfect their craft will eventually make their way there. In fact, it's a point of contention for Dolrim Anvilheart, who will often complain about how cramped his workshop is becoming. Ballur Anvilheart, however, could not be more pleased with the company.
Structure
To join: Expressing interest to one of the brothers (Usually Ballur is the only one willing to discuss and engage) is the obvious first step. From there, an entry fee will be paid and the prospect sent out to find a specific ore, explained that smithing begins before an anvil is even involved...it requires the materials first. It is important to note that the fee, while not exuberant, is generally more than a common peasant's salary, meant to dissuade an absolute flood of applicants. They are then expected to smith an item at the direction of their superior to ensure they can follow orders. If a single mistake is made, the guild fee is paid again to make up for missing material and they are expected to try smithing again (material fetching is not needed).
Once successful they become an apprentice, only taught how to make basic objects such as pommels or ring bands. After a few months and successful smiths, they are then expected to smith a few of these basic items on their own without instruction, but under the watchful eye of a teacher. If successful, they are given a choice...To either pursue blacksmithing or jewelcrafting.

Public Agenda
To offer a place for potential craftsman to hone their skill, or for veteran craftsman to push themselves.
History
Dolrim Anvilheart seemed to grow tired at seeing shoddy wears, and while Ballur Anvilheart felt the same, he was tolerant enough to simply let it be. Dolrim, however, was not.
Because of this, he would complain, day in and out, about how people need to learn to smith properly. Ballur, of course, challenged him, telling him that if he felt it was so necessary, perhaps he should teach it...And Dolrim was not one to back down from the challenge. He did, however, attempt to shirk responsibility of the management side of things, stating he simply wanted to make the smithing world better, not run an entire guild. The two bickered as they are oft to do until it came down to Ballur would design the flag and run most of it, so long as Dolrim, at the very least, thought of the name.
Ballur was not pleased with the name he chose.
Make it, and make it well!
