Dar Boldar
Dar Boldar is the home for many a dwarf, nestled in the side of Midri's Peaks, a mountain range known for its twin volcanoes known as Dolgan and Olagg. Dolgan, being the only active volcano of the two, sits overtop of the city and fuels plenty of its infrastructure, ranging from cooking to the many forges utilized by skilled dwarven craftsmen. Being that it is in the side of a volcano, it can best be described as 'hot'. Fortunately this has been mitigated to at least survivable levels by magic imbued pylons strategically located, dispersing a soothing coolness to counterbalance the high temperate.
It is actually split into three separate areas known as the Upper Dar, Lower Dar, and Backer Dar.
Upper Dar
Also referred to as 'The City', Upper Dar is what people think of when they think of Dar Boldar. This is entered from the main gates and is probably the least temperate of the three. It settles around 36 degrees celsius, or basically a hot summer day. From here basic facilities are offered such as the marketplace, taverns, inns, and even the Blacksmith and Jeweler's Guild. In the outer ring, residences for Dwarves are gathered.Lower Dar
Lower Dar could be classified as its own settlement due to its size. It's often referred to as the Dwarven Exile and exists as a sort of free standing prison for the Underdwarves, which is a species of dwarf exiled for their rebellion (More to come on this).
Originally it was planned for this to be the area for residences, and so many homes were formed in preparation of a population boom. It was made this way for ease of access to the many mines located underneath, rife with common to exotic ore. It is also incredibly hot. The magic used to help cool the area has been abandoned, resulting in temperatures reaching over 50 degrees celsius, meaning most creatures will only last so long before submitting to hyperthermia. Underdwarves have developed a higher tolerance for the staggering heat, allowing them to live.
However, after the conflict, most exits were sealed except for one, and if it ever is sealed, it will spell the doom for all of its citizens. Because of this, their very well beings are hung over their head, forced to work the mines to ensure they are kept alive.

Backer Dar
Considered the most reverent part of Dar Boldar, it holds a few temples, mostly dedicated to Goath - God of Forges, the Courthouse, the Pit of Judgment, and most importantly, the throne room. It is kept just slightly cooler here than Upper Dar, at around 25 degrees celsius. Only appointed officials, nobility, and priests can freely walk around. Anyone else will need a reason to attend, such as service in the temples (Once weekly), or if they stand on trial in the Courthouse. People can head to the Pit of Judgment as viewing members through a designated hallway in Upper Dar.Demographics
Primarily Dwarven. Anyone non-dwarf are not allowed to own property and can only stay to the maximum of a three consecutive months before they are in violation of the law.
Government
The courthouse is how it sounds where the accused stand on trial to defend their case. However, trials differ in that they not only decide if the defendant is guilty or not guilty, but also the punishment to occur if found guilty, normally executed in the Pit of Judgment. This pit is an arena where the defendant must fight for their honor, or if in the event of a heinous crime such as murdering an official in cold blood, they will be publicly executed. These fights are determined in the courtroom, ranging from simple fisticuffs between the accuser and the accused (to work it out of their system) for most petty crimes, to unleashing giant elementals in a brutal bout for more serious accusations. While not sensationalized as a sport, it is open to the viewing public to attend, even non citizens, done so as a means to show what would happen were someone found guilty.
Infrastructure
Although not built by the dwarves and instead by gnomes, a giant tunnel connects Volttoggle to Dar Boldar. It is not advised to traverse the tunnel, however, as it is intended for a giant ball, carrying passengers, to roll through and stop, acting as a makeshift and highly dangerous tram system.
Guilds and Factions
The Blacksmith and Jeweler's Guild operates within.
Architecture
The buildings are cut from the stone of the mountain, chipped into smaller houses and apartment like complexes. Residency is on the outskirts with the market, tavern, inn, etcetera along a walk through in the middle.
Geography
It is located in the mountain ranges that house twin volcanos. Deeper into the city can become incredibly hot and even dangerous.
