Blood of Senera

Named after what is believed to be one of the original progenitors of vampirism, Senerians seek to exemplify the upper echelons of nobility and regality. Rare are they to stray outside of their sprawling Victorian styled cities, preferring instead to send their thralls and servants out to do their bidding while they live their lavish lifestyles from the safety of their castles and cathedrals.

Average technological level

Senerians enjoy standard luxuries such as horse and carriages, chandeliers, and basic metallurgy.

Art & Architecture

The architecture of their buildings are very striking and unmistakable. Grand, grim, and gothic with finely carved gargoyle statues perched at the end of black buttresses, there is both a sense of awe and danger imbued by aesthetic alone. Internally these buildings fare much the same. With their enhanced ability to see in the dark, they prefer to keep as little lighting as possible, often using lit candles as more of a decorative item than a necessity. Rather they would prefer to have those not so gifted stumble about, attempting to flee their amused captors in terror.

Common Customs, traditions and rituals

Senerians are rather fond of parties, whether they be grand feasts or ballroom dancing affairs. For them these events fulfill both a means to mingle and often to assert a level of dominance, either through their place in their own society, or by the unwitting guests that are often put on display or tasted.

A level of cruelty is to be expected from these events, and bringing in an unsuspecting victim to terrify and even chase is received with just as much warmth and expectation as a gift for a bridal shower.

Ideals

Beauty Ideals

As with most vampires, beauty is preserved at their peak, meaning they are all, in many ways, beautiful. Because of this, physical beauty is seen with subjectively less importance and thus the Senerians seek other metrics to better judge the attractiveness of their kin. Their standards are measured, instead, through material wealth and opulence. The standard Senerian attire is ballroom wear. Women drape themselves in different wear, ranging from beautiful dresses to ornate corsets depending on the social arrangement, and men often wear vests and finely pressed pantaloons. Ruffles are as commonplace as wine glasses and gold cuff links, and if these fineries don't draw attention, then their frequent displays of eye-catching and notable possessions certainly will.

Military Traditions

Despite their pompous and socialite faring nature, they are quite capable of defending themselves. This is particularly evident in members of the Noble Blood Guard, who spend their free time training and perfecting their martial prowess.
