Cobblewald

Originally a city settled close to Lundhearst prior to its corruption, it is now only a shell of what it once was. Shops and residences have long since been abandoned, however, it is not completely empty.

Strange figures with masks shamble about, seemingly with no purpose and barely any sentience. The masks are crafted from wood and follow the same pattern, being a flat disk with two black dots, seemingly for eyes, and nothing else. From there, they wear simple clothing, often in tatters but seemingly having undergone meager repairs with patches over holes or collars fluffed and straightened. These figures are actually the undead, reanimated by Abigail Vertruse originally as a means to reunite their loved ones with the deceased. Unfortunately, the dead do not always cease their unlife after a period of time, and for having quite the strong connection to the occult, Abigail seems unable to simply let them return to the grave. She is also not willing to raise a hand against them, in respect to the client who made the original request. Instead, since they are not hostile so long as the mask covers their view like the sweet embrace of the grave, she lets them wander about the town, tethered to its proximity by her magic.
