Jogud the Odd
Jogud the Odd is a story told to Halfling children by Halfling parents to prevent them from wandering too far west into the roaming territory of the giants, or just to dissuade children from acting out.
It describes a particular giant with a penchant for luring Halflings away from their home with the promise of whimsy and adventure...Specifically the ability to have a practice, safe, fun spar with Jogud. Jogud explains that he's watched adventurers just over the hills and is fascinated by their artful combat, but is just too sad and lonely to have a good sparring partner.
If the Halfling participates he'll dance and sing and then land to his knees and have a shadowboxing match with them...And just when the match is slowing down and everyone is tired from the ordeal, he'll then beat them into submission, tie them up, and pull off their limbs slowly.
Spread
The story is told mostly around Halfling circles, generally from the Heartberry Hills region, who hold some sort of reverence to it, either as a factual tale or that it 'could have happened'. While likely other races have heard of them, it's a foreign and laughable concept.
In Literature
Some Halfling short stories have been created, much like Red Riding Hood, from the tale.
