Yorkton Harbor

Originally the town of Yorkton, it was the first port of Duvonia prior to Portsmark. However, when Duvonia faced financial woes after having to fight back multitudes of would-be conquerors, Grand Barlov made a deal to purchase Yorkton. While reluctant, the king of Duvonia at the time conceded and later formed Portsmark to fill the gap in their naval defense and trading.
While Portsmark suffices, it does not match the majesty of Yorkton Harbor, specifically because of its leader, Admiral James Warrenson. His no-nonsense approach to illicit activities and clear sense of leadership made him prime to lead not just his fleet of well crafted ships, but also his people. Also, assembled under James were some of the finest shipwrights, both inventing as well as crafting impressive vessels.   It currently houses a sizable population as well as the navy of Grand Barlov, primarily used for defense. Many of the population has also taken up fishing which they sell to the owning capital in return for meager living wages.

Government

Although Grand Barlov is its owner and therefore the laws apply to Yorkton Harbor as well, it is primarily ruled by the navy, and more specifically, its admiral.

Defences

Yorkton Harbor is made for the defense of Grand Barlov. Its primary feature is its naval base that houses its own garrison for sailors as well as many formidable ships. Yorkton also has stone walls along its outer rim to deter land invaders.

Industry & Trade

Despite its primary function being for defense and other militant, naval operations, it also features several trade ships that sail with escorts. Fishing is also a staple job, though because the fishermen are forced to either consume their catch themselves or sell it to Grand Barlov, Yorkton is not known for its fish.
