Test Subject - Mogi

Mogi

Creation - Month of Julio
Incubation period - Two months
Death - Month of Sept’Ambra, after three days outside the glass womb.

The specimen showed promises. Unlike Morgo, Mogi developed rapidly and was active early on. It occasionally turned its head, stretched, and went back to the curled position.

Mogi possessed five crooked horns, twisting around themselves. One horn pierced its left eye on the twentieth of Julio. But Mogi showed no signs of distress or pain during the event. Certain syllables must be adjusted to prevent excessive horn growth near vital areas.
Initially, Mogi grew a long tail which lacked any hair or feather. As days went by, the tail got shorter and eventually disappeared without a trace. I assume the words for a tail are written inside all menes’has, but some instructions hinder its development. Finding and erasing these barriers will be the main goal in the following experiments.

The head, torso and legs developed well. The spine was crooked, with a prominent hump. Mogi lacked wings and arms. Possibly, the words for them are interlinked and more precision is necessary to erase only the wings, while keeping the upper limbs intact.

Mogi started actively breathing after leaving the glass womb. It drank diluted goat's milk and defecated at the end of the first day. Its vigour gradually lowered, and only faint breathing and heartbeat persisted during the second day.
On the morning of the third day, Mogi’s breathing became strained, followed by wheezing and a rapid heartbeat. It coughed once more and died soon after. The remains were cremated and Mogi’s urn joined other noteworthy specimens.

Mogi proves shed’genenis can be remade, but more alterations are needed for a successful result. Hopefully Mesme will improve upon its predecessor.

Very unsettling, well done as always! Excellent drawing by Nincho. The not feeling apparent pain from the horn was an interesting and immersive detail.

Thank you! Did it not feel it or couldn't show it? Li'Laith never found out.

Thank you. Accidentally turned far sadder than intended.

Poor Mogi. :( I wonder how long it will take to create a subject that will survive.

Yeah :') Li'Laith is working hard on it!

The way you wrote it from the scientist's perspective as a simple report and used the headline accordingly is really great and it makes me very sad. At least Mogi was cremated and not put in a jar of formaldehyde like other misguided experiments. I hope Li'Laith doesn't have to cremate too many failures.

Thank you! Writing in-universe report was quite fun so we want to add other similar articles.   And Li'Laith hopes the same!
