Swords and Snakes

This is the manifesto of the Crimson Grasses, a rebel group led by the red dragon Agyrrys, The Bold. When Khom Keizl first got to the city of Ketra, nearly thirty years ago, he killed the courier that was carrying the document for bumping into him and causing him to spill his drink. He took the document off the courier before the authorities searched the body. When he realized what he had, he took the manifesto to Agyrrys and blackmailed her with it. He made her swear to never bother Ketra again or he would reveal the document and she would be killed for treason and her cohorts revealed. Then he made her sign a document that stated as long as he was the ruler of Ketra, she would never attack the city. He took it back to the mayor and just like that, he'd secured his place as the criminal overlord of the city.

Purpose

The Crimson Grasses is a rebel group led by the red dragon Agyrrys, The Bold. Their manifesto, Swords and Snakes, is a call to action for the people of Shotark to rise up against the king of Shotark. It cries out against unfair taxation practices and lack of protection from the king's soldiers. It points out the lavish parties held in the capital city while the farmers eke out their living in the country. It calls for a complete removal of the king and his court. It calls for a senate to be put in their place, with representatives from six districts, laid out by Agyrrys in a detailed map. Agyrrys and her cohort wrote the manifesto but have not yet gathered the strength in numbers to put it into effect, so the document is dangerous. Especially since it was traveling around being signed by the different members of the cohort. The couriers were vetted carefully and instructed to do nothing but carry the document, but mistakes were made...
