Founding

Khadgar and Lothar assist in rallying the human nations into the Alliance.

Politics and old grudges kept the human nations form entering into a formal alliance. Much of the nobility underestimated the Horde's ability to wage a war this far extended from their home, not understanding the Horde were a migratory army with no permanent settlements. As the Horde touched down into Hillsbrad and was within spitting distance of Alterac, Loraderon, Dalaran, Gilneas, and Stormgarde, all of whom were not ready for a conflict with the Horde this close to home, the combined pleading of Khagar and charisma of Anduin Lothar managed to convince the human nations to form an official federation, The Alliance of Lordaeron. Lothar was named Supreme Commander of the Alliance forces and he worked quickly to reposition troops for a defensive line in Hillsbrad.
