Shadewolf Armor

The Shadewolf Armor is an enchanted masterwork set of heavy plate armor. It was crafted by Rath, the Blackguard, near the end of the Fourth Age, and it was later enchanted. It was Rath's primary set of armor after its creation, and it is assumed to have stayed in his possession for the rest of his life.

Description

The Shadewolf Armor is a heavy set of full plate armor, originally sized for Rath. It is crafted of steel, which has been darkened in the process to a deep, dark grey steel color.   The most prominent feature of the armor set is the large, snarling wolf head design on the front of the cuirass. It is set on a metal plate in a layered design that leads to the rest of the breastplate.   The pauldrons are large and set in multiple layers. The edges of the pauldrons are thick and shining metal. These hold a dark, black fabric cloak which leads fully around the wearer's back to the front of the shoulders.   It is believed that the armor has several enchantments. Though details are not known, it is rumored to be resistant to divine energies and protect the wearer from divination magics.

History

The Fifth Age: The Age of Beginnings
At some point in the early Fifth Age, the Shadewolf Armor was enchanted.   It is believed Rath brought the armor with him when he returned to Parthenia. The current location of the Shadewolf Armor is not known.
