Omestad (Ohm-Stahd)
"Empire. That is the creed of the history of the continent of Omestad. That is the mark of its annals, and not many have bore witness to the formative centuries that have shaped this land so. But alas, I, the Wanderer, was there. I have been here for it all, witnessed it all and write this treatise to attest thusly. Now with the Harrowing of Aetherford and the collapse of the millennia long Pegalus throne, I see fit to construct a new volume of my Encyclopedia, for this world may be seeing the beginning of a new era soon."

History
A Land of Men
By all accounts, Omestad was a land of men, though in our current Fourth Era, humanity is the more preferred term and the one I will use. The most apt origin for the continent and humanity’s place in its future would be the end of the Age of Turmoil. With the gift of Magic granted to mortals, the Age of Wishes (see Ages of Azuremir) began and the Three Great Bastions of Humans, Elves, and Dwarves were built.
On the continent, humanity built its first city and named it Tarsus after its founder and successor to Icarim the Wise, Tarsus Caerel. As Tarsus prospered, and humanity felt safe to venture beyond the walls, new settlements were built across the bitter north and this diaspora would form the basis for the what would later become the Caerel Regnum, an empire that would stand for half a millennium.
