The Dest of Isite

Purpose / Function

• Each God (except Kinennys and Lorché) has one temple somewhere in Seryphorm called a Dest; literally meaning a Place of Conversations. A Dest is a place to commune with or worship the God to which the Dest is dedicated or seek spiritual guidance from the Diroxu.
• This Dest is dedicated to

  Isite the Macabre, the Blue God of Water, Death and the Stars.

Design

• The main prayer hall is a 32×32' room other than the small 3×3' private room. The walls and floors made of obsidian.

Entries

• The entrance to the prayer hall, as well as the door to the public washroom and apartment of the Diroxu are in a small alcove behind the prayer hall. The entrance to the prayer hall is a large entryway with steps leading up to it.

Sensory & Appearance

• The Dest of Isite smells and sounds of the river or other bodies of water.
• It is moderately lit but not too brightly.
• The walls are all black obsidian stone, while the furnishings are either black or blue.

Denizens

• The current inhabitants of the Dest of Isite is Diroxu Marvin Moore and his familiar, a white cat called Fionn.

Contents & Furnishings

• The private room contains two couches and a table as well as a carpet, all of which are blue.
• The main prayer hall contains the oddel with lighting and candle, as well as two fish fountains on either side of the oddel and a carpet for patrons to kneel on if they so wish.
• There is a large fountain in the centre of the prayer hall.
• The walls that do not face the river are decorated with murals and charts of the stars.

Valuables

• The murals of the stars are only valuables in the prayer hall.

Special Properties

• All destny are imbued with a spiritual aura which makes communing with deities and seeking spiritual guidance easier.

Alterations

• Each Diroxu may change the furnishing of the apartment as they see fit, but the actual prayer hall has remained mostly unchanged.

Architecture

Each dest

• is a building made entirely from obsidian and is made up of a prayer hall and an apartment for the presiding Diroxu.
• a prayer hall with an oddel, a cuboid altar of obsidian, 2' wide and about 1' high, with the symbol and the sacred animal of the God engraved into the side where patrons of the Dest may place gifts for their God or seek advice.
• There is also a small room at the back of the prayer hall for speaking in private.

• The wall facing the river is made of columns. The other three are decorated with star patterns.
