Special abilities
Lazarus, contrary to popular belief, has a focus. Though, whilst most focuses are active and effective, Laz's focus is passive and works by negation. Specifically, Lazarus negates death and injury entirely. Whilst his body can be bruised and cut, it cannot be destroyed. His bones unbreakable, limbs inseparable and soul... eternal. If you were to bleed the man of his last drop of blood he would simple continue on, woozy but alive.
This incredibly powerful ability coupled with Laz's ineffectual combat skills lead to a remarkable result. If the man is given a task he will complete it. It may take 200 years for the first step alone, but eventually it will be done. Laz is an unstoppable force, however slowly he may move.
Unfortunately, like many of The Awake, Laz sees his focus as a curse. After losing his love, enduring countless beatings and surviving torture fit for a man incapable of death, Laz merely wishes to rest. Yet, no rest waits for him. And so, devoid of purpose, vigor or will to continue, Laz meanders. Taking no jobs and serving no greater purpose, just searching for a way to die.
Lazarus is a strange, sad man. With an undead skin tone and a body riddled with scars, he's not an easy person to look at. Though if he can move past his complexion, a man incapable of dying is a useful tool, no matter how suicidal they are.
