Blood of Esyur

History

The god of protection and safety, Esyur, saved the world from Phytri in a divine battle. During the battle, his blood was spilled and it fell in sizzling drops. A human managed to collect it, put it in unbreakable pendants, and marked each one with a different rune. He understood their powers and sold them at high prices.   During the war between the Black Iris and Queen Stephana Katheryne Marion, the High General secured 16 of the pendants for his best generals. These protected the generals from getting injured and they were able to kill and injure many rebels. What the royal forces were unaware of was that the Black Iris also had the blood of Esyur and used 7 pendants for their best agents. This allowed them to complete the assassination and finish their mission successfully.   Since individuals could do bad things and be safe from punishment, the pendants were collected, and only 25 were found. Enchantments were put on the pendants so that the individuals would not be protected from justice.   In the modern day, 6 pendants are in museums are private collections. 12 pendants belong to individuals and families. Some of the 19 lost pendants are rumoured to be in private collections or with individuals for their personal use but are unrecorded.

Significance

Esyur's blood is speriu, the blood of the gods and goddesses, but his blood has the feature of protection. This allows the wearer to be safe from a specific type of harm. Most people choose to be protected from bodily harm, but people can also choose other types of protection, like mental or emotional. However, this also allows individuals to commit crimes and be safe from punishment.
