William Allen
Played by: Dream Fiend
Born Nov. 3, 1673 as William Allen to a seemingly average yet well off family in England, William received a decent Education. Not much is known of his human life other than he was happily married with one young daughter prior to his death in and embrace into clan Nosferatu in 1698. Even after death and siring, William dutifully watched over his wife and daughter for years from the shadows. Using his gift of Obfuscate to keep close in the darker hours... He was very watchful of his daughter as she grew, and her daughter after. Acting as a guardian angel for his family until he was eventually caught interfering in their lives, showing up with money to pay for things to pull his grandaughter from a poor situation, saving descendants distant and close from peril. This did not sit well with the Camarilla at the time, and his interference was punished by Death to those he had interacted with. He blamed himself, spiraling into a depressive state for some time. Unwilling to give Sects or other Vampires a chance after this.
Eventually after a few decades in a funk, He fashioned a new persona. A Superhero persona. He would be The Gentleman, moving place to place, saving others from danger. Not just family. And leaving before he could be thanked. No one would find out what he is. After time he used this persona as well to guide other vampires to not be as obvious to what they are. Nudging them away from making the mistakes he had. But this itself had another side effect. As sometimes he was unable to help. Unable to sway them, and this brought back memories of the deaths he caused by his own poor choices, his interference and an alternative side, a darker side to the coin formed. This other side went by the latter half of his name. The less caring. Colder side. The side that could be extreme, The Side that could make them listen. The side that could force them to listen and distance themselves. He practiced with his aim. Using his supernatural eyesight to master firearms and projectile weapons such as Darts, Crossbows, becoming extremely skilled in ranged combat, which was occasionally needed for his new "work" Rescuing others from "Villains" And for Finalo's judgement of those who refuse to listen, using his crossbow to render them torpid before leaving them to the Sun, or the local Vampire authority. Few could evade him when he had his sights on them. Use of Obfuscate rendered him impossible to know a target was hunted until the bolt was firmly in their heart. 1918. Still living in England, one night when Allen was scouting for violators of the masquerade he met a curious new being. Something out of place in the city, a stray Vampire with heavy body modifications so extreme that you could no longer tell what they were originally. He almost killed it at first, before deciding to know more. In the short span he spent around this... thing. He realized it was mentally disturbed and potentially the product of another's doing. One night it sought him out, imitating a less monstrous form and asking him for aid. The Manor was in cinders, the others gone. He told her to go and get a few things and return. He would take her to another country he was moving to. She dutifully left to do so, On the way back, bags of clothing and soil in hand, a crossbow fired in the dark. He did not want to be cruel. But he could not let her remain loose on the world to hurt people. Finalo's promise was kept, she was transported along with her belongings. Within a trunk of clothing, taken to this new land and buried deep in the forest. William, unaware of what his other half had done, continued to move place to place around the country. Anytime he heard of Unruly newbloods or the masquerade being ignored, he would assign himself to that location to aid in reigning them in. One way or another. Eventually after a strange video with footage of Willworkers, Garou, and what appeared to be a Sabbat rampage went live he packed his bags up. Moving to Baltimore once again. Once there he began to watch the youngbloods as well as the older. Finding the city curious, yet more and more distressing as the nights progress... In the beginning of his stay here, the Gentleman was much more active, saving mortals, saving the occasional vampire. He met a young vampire one night Named Aria. Left behind when the Second Inquisition took her friend. He took her back to his lair and cared for her enough to begin her recovery. When she made a choice to cause herself to look as if she was injured but survived the attack, staying in a hospital he was most impressed. After delivering her to a local doctor from the Johns Hopkins Hospital he began a bit of a friendship with this doctor. Considering him once of the few sane in the city left. Occasionally creating reports on things and sharing them with the Good Doctor that has earned his respect. William does not socialize with many, preferring to watch from afar and get genuine reactions and information. People will always be on their best behavior if they know they are being watched Yes? He tries to be there to dissuade breaches and foolishness. But with the recent stress and disregard it pushes Finalo more and more above the surface...
