Unnatural Sunlight

The sunlight in Barovia is not natural. Because Strahd rules over the Valley, and needs to be able to leave his castle, the sunlight is magically enchanted to be dulled or muted in such a way that it is no longer harmful to vampires, or other creatures with sunlight sensitivity

Manifestation

This can be noticed basically anywhere in The Valley of Barovia , by the dulled sunlight, very greyed out tones, and an overall gothic feel.
