Blood of the Vine Tavern
A single shaft of light thrusts illumination into the main square, its brightness looking like a solid pillar in the heavy fog. Above the gaping doorway, a sign hangs precariously askew, proclaiming this to be the Blood on the Vine tavern.
The tavern building is about 60 feet square.
On closer inspection the sign revealed that it originally read “Blood of the Vine.” (An “n” has been scratched over with the “f.”)
Occupants include the barkeep, three brightly clothed ladies sitting together. Ismark Kolyanovich frequents this place. Red wine is commonly drank by all.
Architecture
This is a very rustic setting with exposed stonework and a number of pendants showing the crest of Strahd on the walls
The structure is supported by thick wooden beams along the walls and overhead.
The furnishings look old and worn, each of the chairs has been painted a gaudy colour and the seats have engravings of musical instruments upon them.
A sense of slight shabbiness has eroded what once must have been a finely appointed inn. There is a blazing fire in the hearth, but very little heat seems to escape it.
