Session 22

General Summary

A Rough Reunion

With Idris recently unconscious once again, the party present was simply too tired to make any serious moves, though Nova and Gio kept an eye out to make sure this woman did not have lethal intent. Frustrated, the woman asked who these people are and where was she, and after explaining, the party inferred that this woman must be Sena, a part of Idris' band. In order to try and resolve the situation, Gio brought Sena and the other band members upstairs to try and cool off while the party realizes what they are going to do.
During this time, Ahrieya was coping with the fight that had just occurred inside a silence bubble adjacent to Ireena. In that moment, she asked Vaund for something, anything that she could get in order to keep people from dying. A soothing smoke took hold once again, and Ahrieya found her razortooth bandages glowing with gold filigree. Soon after, Gio knocked on the door and came in, talking with Ahrieya about what had happened. Perhaps if she didn't tell the guard what they were doing, none of this would have happened, and no one would have died. Gio confided that there seems to be someone watching over him, though he didn't seem to have to take any sort of deal. When Ahrieya brought up that the Abbot would like to see Ireena of her own volition, the two thought they should tell her why he might be so interested in her. When checking on her body, Gio found desiccated and withered flesh around her heart as if it had suffered necrosis. Soon after, Ireena woke with a scream, explaining that the darkness nearly consumed her until a bright light brought her back. Allowing her to rest, Ahrieya wanted some joy so she went downstairs.
Peaking into the bandmates' room, Ahrieya asked if Sin wanted to fly. Delighted to hear that, the entire band moved outside, deliberately avoiding the recently conscious Idris. As he paced in the living room, trying to think of what to say, Sin flew around while Sena and Ahrieya talked, the new guest seemingly much less heated than she was before. Interrogating Ahrieya, Sena asked if she was hired in a similar fashion as Gio explained for this random peacekeeping job, and if they're his new band. Explaining that Ahireya would never replace the bond of band (BOB), Sena seemingly felt more comfortable, and enjoyed seeing Sin happy. However, Sin returned, saying that there is a mob to the northeast where the party had fought Ilya. 
Moving back inside, Idris asked if Sena and him could speak in private. She responded "Well whatever you have to say you can say it in front of your friends." Not pleased with that, Idris began to apologize, not wanting what happened to his mother be what happened to her and the other band mates. Idris focused on the one time where he blacked out and was worried he did something to hurt her. She explained that he never blacked out, but simply just started talking gibberish and grasping her face. Startled and confused, she knocked him out. His eyes *might* have been yellow? But we deal with things together, thats the whole fucking point. I thought you knew that. Though frustrated still, the two embraced.
Meanwhile, Ariadne and Nova helped Isis cook something to eat, with Gio Jr. bringing down Sylvester who finally came to conciousness. Fumbling around the kitchen, Ariadne and Nova managed to calm the bird down before returning to Gio Jr. hands.

A Son in Stone

Returning to the scene of the battle, the party saw that the guards had formed a perimeter around the scene as a crowd had managed to form. The corpses of each of the creatures appeared the same as during the battle except for Ilya, whose form was that of the burgomaster's son in stone. Investigating the boy, Ahrieya and Gio both investigated the statue, coming to the conclusion that it was far too detailed for it to be a statue. Ahrieya thought back, and remembered creatures that can cause petrification, with Ghorgon's exuding a green fog. Ariadne, Nova, and Idris all tried to quell the mob, and after explaining that the burgomistriss will be giving an announcement later today, the crowd slowly dispersed. 
The party took a moment to move Ilya's statue back to the burgomaster's mansion. Checking back up on Dimitri and Anna, Ahrieya tried to heal the burgomaster. Although his breathing returned to a normal rate, and his wounds healed, the man did not wake. When told if she was in the right mind to speak to the people of Krezk, she said she would not abandon her people, especially at a time like this. The only issue she cannot confidently speak about would be the food situation. The party debated a few ideas, but these would come in time.
 Idris took a moment to smoke outside. Coryphian began to speak with him. Did you do something to Sena when you found her? Of course he did, he can only do so much acting on his own for the moment. Idris responded that perhaps he should be more careful, since Coryphian seems to need him. Coryphian seemed to agree, though told Idris to focus on whats happening right now. Additionally, something seems to be blocking Coryphian's vision of Grim.

Shopping and Inspiration

The party took a moment, while Idris was bonding with his band back at the home, to shop at Lady Kate's Wonder Emporium. Inside, the party saw an absolute mess of trinket and oddities with an older, modestly dressed woman behind a counter. The shop seemed home to a multitude of random knick-knacks. After tasting a few potions, Ahrieya and Ariadne ended up purchasing a slew of healing potions as well as a inkwell of magic ink. For bartering, she gave Kate a history textbook from Faerun as well as a yellow spellbook. Gio on the other hand found a familiar yellow amulet that Idris was looking for. Wanting to barter for it as well as a white birdcage, Gio ended up giving a kukri, Nova made an immaculate dreamcatcher to give, and then Ariadne gave her a moss agate. Pleased with the deal, the party happily left, interested in returning later.
Back at the burgomaster's home, the crowd gathered to hear what Anna had to say. Promising that Krezk will endure this hardship with the help of these "heroes", Idris added on. When you're at rock bottom, theres no where to go but up. But its times to see if you can fight and work for it. Seemingly quelled, the crowd actually seemed much more hopeful than before. Though, they still need to find a way to get food.
Thinking about what to do next, the party reinvestigated the motes of light. Releasing one, the party once again saw that it was attracted to Gio. Allowing it to enter his body, the figure known as Dennis changed his voice, sounding much more regal. Another mote revealed an image, the spitting image of Vasili, the merchant who sold the magic items to the party. When referring to Tatyana, the figure asked how he knew about his love, and where she is.
Dennis is more than he seems for sure...
