Durst Manor Undercroft

The ceilings of this undercroft are quite low, but the pillars supporting the ceiling make it feel even more claustrophobic. The tunnel forks left and right, both leading into darkness. And then? Floating out from that utter blackness, from the nighted depths? Chanting. Ethereal chanting by a score of souls, chanting that echoes off of every stone and corner of this wretched place, rising and falling in intonation, the words too distant, too faint to discern, but eerie and incessant. The chanting caresses you like an old lover, too far-gone to be touched, but too close to be forgotten.

The Durst Manor Undercroft was located under the Durst Manor. The walls and floors were constructed from a combination of compacted dirt and stone. The undercroft held a number of rooms with dark purposes, such as; A room with a statue of Strahd, A bedroom of Gustav and Elizabeth Durst and a Ritual chamber.
