Arabelle

Arabelle is the daughter of Arrigal . She is a young vistana girl, one of the few that don't get to travel beyond the mists.

A Desire to See

Arabelle has shown the signs of becoming a vistani seer. Powerful magic users that are born to the vistani whose ability is passed down through the female line. One of these trademark talents is to foresee the future when reading the mystic Taroka deck. Because of this she has not been allowed to venture beyond the mists with her father. She spends most of her days studying with her teacher in the camp and exploring the surrounding areas learning about the nature of existence in Barovia. She has been studying the basics of alchemy, learning about which plants do what and how to harvest them. Lately Arabelle has grown tired of her "sheltered" life. To find new and fun experiences she had started to sneak into the walls of the highly prejudice Vallakians. Disguised with the help of one of her friends and teachers, Anika, she has been able to fool the guards at the eastern gate. Of all the things in Vallaki she has found herself spending most of her time with the orphans of St. Andral's Orphanage.

"Lucky" Charm

While playing with the children of the orphanage Arabelle has been noticed by the miserable local drunk Bluto. Convinced (correctly) that she is a vistana, Bluto decided to kidnap the girl. He aimed to drown the girl in Lake Zarovich, with the idea that a long forgotten deity, known as the Lady of the Lake, would grant him a boon in return for his offering. Luckily, asked by her father the Outsiders make it to the lake just in time to save Arabelle as she was sinking in the black waters. Abhorred by the poor fisherman 's crime they decided to drown him as he had intended to do with Arabelle. She understood the justice in this punishment. When they returned to the Vallaki Encampment Arabelle rewarded the Party with a free Taroka card reading. The scrying only revealed malicious omens of tragedies to come, a commonplace in Barovia.
