Although the garuda do not worship any gods or follow any religious doctrine, their legends and mythology do feature a sort of devil-figure, Dahnesch. Dahnesch typically stands for the principles which the garuda abhor. Religious scholars debate as to whether Dahnesch is a real eidolon, or a purely fictitious character.
