Drogan the Barkeep
Drogan, the owner of the Soggy Smelter Tavern in Ironclad, is a burly man with a thick beard and a booming voice, who greets all his patrons with a warm smile and a hearty laugh. He is a former mercenary who fought in many battles, and he loves to regale his customers with tales of his adventures. He takes pride in the quality of his ale and serves it in large tankards, enough to satisfy even the thirstiest of patrons.
One of the wenches who works for him is a young woman named Mira, who is known for her quick wit and sharp tongue. She has fiery red hair and bright green eyes that seem to twinkle with mischief. Despite her sharp tongue, she is well-liked by the patrons, who appreciate her friendly demeanor and good humor. She often teases Drogan and the other patrons, but never crosses the line into rudeness. Eira is a hard worker, and takes pride in her job, often staying late to clean up the tavern and make sure everything is in order.
Drogan's love for whiskey stems from a tragic incident in his youth. When he was a young boy, his father owned a distillery and was famous for producing the finest whiskey in the region. One night, a rival distiller who was jealous of Drogan's father's success, set fire to their distillery. Drogan's father was killed in the blaze, and Drogan suffered serious burns while trying to save him.
After recovering, Drogan vowed to carry on his father's legacy and become a master distiller himself. He spent years perfecting his craft, experimenting with different grains, barrels, and aging techniques to create unique and delicious blends. The whiskey became his solace and his passion, a way to honor his father's memory and find joy in life again. To this day, Drogan's Ironclad tavern is famous for its whiskey, and Drogan is considered one of the finest distillers in the land.
