Special abilities
Charles has the ability to see the future. It started in his youth as prophetic visions of future events, but soon he was able to draw upon it for immediately useable information. Using this ability, he is able to forsee an opponent's moves before they make them and can see how and when would be the best way to kidnap someone.

Personal history
From a young age, Charles Knox was plagued with prophetic visions which convinced him that the world would end within his lifetime. He found himself being sucked into whatever conspiracy theory or end of days prophecy that was going around at the time and quickly took it upon himself to aid in preserving humanity after the end. While most doomsday preppers will create a shelter for themselves and maybe their families, Charles was determined to save the entire human race, and that meant keeping enough people alive after the end to repopulate the earth.
Charles eventually found himself working as a mid-level executive in Schurk Industries, slowly managing to hide a reasonably-sized facility from the books and using it as a base of operations. He sold or repurposed the technology inside before going to work for the Bathala City General Hospital and using their access to medical files to find suitable candidates for his new world, including a few doctors like Tyler Jamison.
