Harpies Heart Gemstone
Formed from the tearsoaked broken heart of a sailors' forgotten love, the Harpies Heart Gemstone is said to ward off false love interests, and together with it's beautiful blue hues is a highly sought luxury item for use in jewellery designed for the most prestigious of clients in Belerion.
Frequently sailors will come and go from port to port, this much is known. It is also not uncommon for them to be involved with more than one person ashore after months away at sea. Occassionally a love interest may think they are the only one, and upon learning of the others, or perhaps just driven by a strong sense of longing, will drown trying to swim out to sea.
Unable to rest in piece, and driven mad by jealousy and rage, they return to the shore and cut their cold stone hearts from their chest, taking up residence as a newly fledged Harpy on Sailors Rest, a small island off the coast at Aberston.

Pounded by the cold merciless blue ocean waves, and containing the tears of the brokenhearted, it is human heart turned stone.
