Ardling

Ardlings are similar to the Aasimar people in which their birth is through devine intervention. Instead of coming from a mother and father, young Ardlings will randomly appear on doorsteps or on well trodden paths waiting for someone to adopt them. No one known how this phenomena happens, though many studies have been done trying to puzzle it out. A new Ardling will appear on the cusp of great change, for better or worse.

The appearance of an Ardling varies greatly, though their heads always resemble some sort of animal on top of a Human looking body. If they are destined to be a great warrior and bring about the end of a long war, they may resemble a lion or a tiger. If they are to bring about a time of sickness and death, they may resemble a snake or some type of insect. The possibilities are endless.
