Duergar (Dwar-gar)

Not much is known about our cousins from below. Some say they are Dwarves who got overly ambitious and dug too deep below the mountain. They returned changed. Their skin, though usually pale, turned a sallow grey color and was as cold as the stone beneath our feet. Their hair was white as snow. They are a rare sight and are harbingers of doom. When a Duergar appears, the mountain begins to crumble not long after. It's best to avoid them and seal up holes that go deeper than what's recommended by the Stonemaster. Going too far will lead you to the Underdark, and you may become the next generation of Duergar.
