Panaston
Panaston is a farming community, rather than focusing on normal produce the town focuses on the growing on plant-based alchemical materials and spell components. While there is some more normal produce most of the growing space is used on these more exotic types of plants. This also leads to Panaston having many alchemists and arborists. Panaston has a reputation of rowdiness from the local taverns as the villagers are not opposed to trying new brews that use some of the ingredients that are grown with surprisingly active nightlife in such a small town.
Demographics
The population is largely gnome (37%), humans (20%), and halflings (18%) with smaller numbers of other races.
80% of the population are farmers or farmhands with the rest being local merchants, innkeepers, blacksmiths, and other businesses to help the community.
Government
The town follows the general laws of Arcessa they have a mayor who watches over the city with a small force of guards mostly for keeping the peace. Panaston is what most would consider an ideal farming community with most people knowing each other and families have worked the same lands for generations, this vision is broken by the exotic nature of just what they are farming.
Defences
The town itself has a small barracks that has a couple dozen soldiers with a militia to make up the rest of the standing defense of the town, in truth, there isn't much to help them defend with. a few guard towers that have been retrofitted to serve as water tanks that happen to have a place for a guard to watch over the surrounding countryside.
Infrastructure
The Alchemical Arboretum, the nickname given to the major infrastructure of Panaston all designed to aid the production of alchemical and magical reagents. This includes alchemists and mages with a focus on keeping plants thriving, well-fertilized, and creating new products or finding new ways to use old ones. Many alchemists come from around the continent to secure the best reagents from the fields of Panaston.

People come to Panaston to buy alchemical reagents or sell goods the town needs, some come to see the exotic plants that are cultivated en masse. There really isn't much reason for someone to go visit Panaston other than business, even if the inhabitants are known for having some rather eccentric and energetic parties whenever a celebration comes up.
