Birds of a Feather

Also Known As: The Flock, Annoyances, Squawkers.
Requirements for Joining: High preference for dohwars, avian races or anything that has feathers, but willing to consider anyone that proves themselves as good sellsfolk or good finders that will help turn a profit.
Requirements for Remaining a Member: Unknown.

President: Sphen, a dohwar.   Birds of a Feather are one of the primary merchants in the system. They’re known for being flexible with how things are purchased from them, mostly by trading valuables for supplies or making arrangements with promises of goods to be delivered to them, though they also accept some IOU’s (though that depends on who’s asking). They’re also known for harassing any spelljammers that they run into in the wildspace into purchasing one of their Very Useful Wares. They also do this if they happen to catch a spacer checking out their items. Don’t browse around them or you might walk away with an item you really don’t need.   They occasionally collaborate or compete with Losers Weepers and the rivalry they have with BestBuy is a well-known fact that can be used to someone’s advantage. Not much is known about how they operate as a faction because the requirements to join them are quite high.   Motto: “The one with the most money wins.”

  •   Goals: Become the top merchants in the system to crush BestBuy.
    Typical Quests: Typical quests for this faction include finding various supplies for the Flock to sell (with a commission provided to the one who found the supplies), seeking out supposed cache’s full of materials, undermining BestBuy and working as bodyguards for particularly dangerous journeys.
    Typical Rewards: Money, magical items that are (presumably) useful to spacers and/or, depending on the quest, a portion of the profit made from sales.   Interesting Facts: This faction, for as annoying as they can be, does sometimes carry rare, uncommon or unheard of items, although this is not the norm. They also sometimes carry useless items. It’s mostly up to chance if something they’re selling is actually worth it or not.

    Kinda friendly, mostly neutral.

    The two factions have assisted each other on more than one occasion. Most notably, the Flock provided vital information to Guiding Light to close active cases before. In return for the help, Guiding Light told Birds of a Feather about the location of a large cache of supplies that they were free to go collect. They don't normally interact, however, unless a situation pops up.
