Canterrood Steppe (kan-TEAR-rewd)

The Canterrood Steppe, wedged between the southern reaches of the Themulhir Mountains and the Blackwood Forest, is arid, cold, and generally empty. Uninteresting to most settlements of humanoids, there are nevertheless a few towns along The Cascades river, and some isolated homesteads scattered throughout the steppe. These hardy frontier-living individuals mostly migrated to the steppe for its grazing lands. Indeed, some of the best riding animals in the whole world come from this region, a fact of which its inhabitants are rightly proud.
