  The Husura Isles

  The northern part of Berth, outside the control of the Chatia Empire and mostly composed of scattered islands (many not large enough to support more than a small town) and city-states. The Free Cities, Limehold, Bronzefall, Pineport, Coveharbor, Dragonreach, Fairhaven, Stormhollow, and the Port of Gallants have arranged a loose trade alliance to maintain their independence from the Empire, and so work together when confronted by outside threats. The Husura Consortium, as they call themselves, has an excellent relationship based on mutual self-interest with the undersea kingdom of the Tritons. North of Husura is Aesuquane, where nothing lives but the ever-howling wind and the hardy town of Stillport in a protected cove on the eastern cove.

  The Great Ocean

  What is widely considered by land-dwelling people to be the back side of the planet is covered almost entirely by The Great Ocean. Not much is known about the extensive empire under this sea, but what is known is that the Ocean brews enormous, towering storms and flings them relentlessly against the coasts of the landbound world.
