Dungueil Ocean

A historic body of water filled with tiny atolls too small to feature on most maps, the Dungueil Ocean covers the expanse between central Adarinn and northern Nionibus. Shallower and colder than the Bellbonear Deep, Dungueil is nonetheless filled with nutrients blown across the vast plains of Nionibus or carried down the rivers from the Lady's Lake. It is home to a dizzying variety of plant and animal life, and plays host to one of the more fascinating annual spectacles of underwater life; the Fin and Flipper Fair. Every summer, when the waters of the Dungueil Ocean are at their warmest, merfolk come from all over the world to mingle, make friends, find mating partners, and trade their goods with whomever is in the area. While not comparable to the Amphithian Bazaar in the Husura Isles, this yearly market is unique in its transient nature. Nothing is the same from year to year, much to the delight of its participants.
