Ozais (Oh-ZAY-us)

Ozais is the god of magic and the arcane. Frequently seen in the company of Meean, they are fascinated by the mysteries of the weave. They are the god whose curiosity and inspiration drives investigation of magic the world over. The male aspect of Ozais is the god of magic as birthright; he guides those for whom magic is not a choice to control and temper the strength given to them by their bloodline, and teaches them to be proud of what they are. The female aspect is dedicated to all those interesting individuals who seek out magic for its own sake. She encourages the wild and free exploration of the multiverse, the arcane, and every strange nook and cranny of magical technology.

Divine Domains

Lord Ozais is the god of sorcery, power as a birthright, and the connection between spellcasters and the Divine Sea. He teaches that power goes hand in hand with duty, and magic is a great gift that should be celebrated by those who possess it. His priesthood works with Lord Meean's to ensure that every child with magical gifts can develop them safely. They are also the ones who most carefully study the practice of overchanneling and its consequences. Lady Ozais is the goddess of wizardry, understanding the multiverse, extraplanar travel, and magical study. She shows the world that magic is something in which to delight, and that the arcane can be dissected and understood like any natural phenomenon. Clerics of Ozais pursue the arcana domain, and paladins swear oaths of devotion or oaths of the ancients.

Holy Books & Codes

Lord Ozais laid down his precepts in a sacred scroll known as The Codices of Sorcery. This scripture describes the rights and responsibilities that sorcerers of various bloodlines are granted by virtue of their power, as well as detailing the  Lady Ozais instructs her followers through the mouths of wizards caught up in communion with the currents of arcane magic drawn from the Divine Sea. These oft-unintelligible ramblings are collected in The Weavers Scrolls, which are kept in hidden vaults far beneath The Collegium, to be read only by those who have earned their place in the Wizard's College.
