The Desolate Abyss
The Desolate Abyss is the deepest area of Berth's expansive oceans. Measuring a staggering 11,000 meters at its lowest point, the trench's easternmost 150km is the only part which has been explored and mapped. Any expeditions which ventured farther west along its nearly 1000km length were either driven off by merrow and sahuagin attacks or turned back by the Knights Pisces. The city of Abysnea is located on a shelf at a depth of 987 meters, roughly 300km northwest of Adarinn's northernmost peninsula.
