Being a young ruler and following into the footsteps of his powerful grandfather and beloved aunt, Dastál is facing many doubts about his rule and many advisors with differing opinions. Some would prefer the young Emperor to focus on his celebrations and let them rule in his stead, some wish he'd spent the empire's funds on ships and steel rather than wine and decorations. So far, Dastál has managed to balance the joys of youth and the reign over far-reaching realms, but this balance might be susceptible.

Family Ties
Dastál is the grandson of the first emperor of Beycillis. His father died in the War of Unity when he was still a baby, so Dastál was raised by his grandparents and his mother. Since his aunt, Empress Mariem of Beycillis, remained childless, he ascended to the throne after her death.
