Fenrir
Fenrir is the son of Loki by the Jotun Angrbodr, who resides in the Iron Wood. When he is but a pup Frigg sees Odin demise at his jaws, and cautions Odin Odin brings the wolf and his siblings Hel and Jormangandr to Asgard, where Fenrir is then kept. As he grows Odin becomes worried, and the process of the Binding of Fenrir begins.
Odin finally tricks the wolf into being chained by making it a challenge. The young wolf obligues and when heavier and heavier chains are broken, a special rope; Gleipnir is make by combining impossible things. Fenrir is suspicious of this delicate binding after successively larger chains. Tyr, the God who brought Fenrir to Asgard, and whom Fenrir had formed a bond with as he grew, offers to put his hand in his mouth as assurance that he was not in danger; when Fenris is unable to get out of Gleipnir he bites Tyr's hand off.
At Ragnarok, he breaks his bonds, and joins with his sister Hel in the fight against the Gods of Asgard and Vanaheim. Upon the field of battle, he devours Odin as prophesised. Shortly after he is then killed by Odin's son Vidar, who in his silence, manages to get close enough to the wolf to kill him without him knowing he was there.
