Njord
Njord is a Vanir God, and the father of the twins Freya and Frey. He was born of the waves of the Ocean, Ran nine daughters and was the God of the sea, known as the living water.
He was one of the hostage exchanges following the Aesir-Vanir war, and the brief husband to Skadi, the goddess of Winter.
Following Ragnarok he returned to Vanir to take rule of the realm along with his new wife Nerthus; the earth personified. Together they rule over the land and the sea; but not over its people. On this realm, so lush with life; both Njord and Nerthus declared everyone equal upon Vanaheim and gave the ruling of it to its people. Instead they have taken on a more nature based role; with his wife has retreated to the wilds and has not been seen for many years.
