Alignments
All alignments are allowed, and there is no mechanic based on alignment; it’s really just a way for you to categorize and/or describe your character.
However, just because evil and/or chaotic characters are allowed does not mean that anything goes; “that’s what my character would do” is NEVER an acceptable excuse for being an asshole or making other players at the table uncomfortable. If your character is about to do something chaotic and the prospect is making someone else at the table (a player, not a PC) upset, allow your character to be talked out of it. If you want to engage in actively evil shenanigans, you need to bring that up before play starts and clear it with everyone, and if anyone asks you to stop then you must stop immediately.
This also applies to PvP. Stealing from other characters is allowed, but must be okayed by the player controlling that character before it proceeds. Likewise, combat to the death between players is not allowed, nor is sabotage of another player(s) during combat against NPCs, without express permission by the players involved. Further, there is zero tolerance for pressuring players into accepting such behavior. I’m not going to place arbitrary limits on consensual adversarial roleplaying, but there is an extremely hard limit on that freedom if your fun ruins others’ enjoyment of the game.

If you want to play an evil character, please watch the video below:
Note that just because it's possible to play an evil character (whatever the hell that means) doesn't mean that it's easy, for either you or the DM. Talk with the DM, figure out your character's goals, and remember that the other players have veto power over any PvP actions you take.
