Ranjur's Cave
This cave is set near the top of a range of cliffs overlooking the old road that passes through the northern part of the Badlands. The approach zig-zagging up the cliffs is noticeably well-maintained, with the stone shaped in such a way to provide an easy (though strenuous) climb. A sharp-eyed tracker going up it can spot goat tracks and the occasional large sandal-shod footprint. The entrance of the cave features a clearing where goats graze on some very scraggly grass, underneath the watchful gaze of six totem-poles. The totems seem to be carved to honor various elemental spirits, as well as the spirit-animals of the nearby goblin tribes (the Gobbler, the Stomper, the Digger, and the Howler ).
The cave entrance is tall, going up 8 feet, and has obviously been recently expanded; close inspection reveals that the expansion was likely done through some sort of magic. Inside the cave is a similarly high ceiling, with marks here and there showing where the natural cavern was expanded through similar means. The interior of the cave is homey, with rugs, furs, and stone furniture scattered about. A large stone cauldron and assorted alchemical and herbal ingredients takes up the third of the cave nearest the entrance, and a small air elemental can be seen blowing any fumes from the cauldron out the entryway.
The cave is the home of Ranjur, a cliff giant from atop the Scorching Cliffs.
