Ripfang Forward Longhouse
A small hill rises gently above the riverbank. The top has been clear-cut, and the underbrush cleared away sometime in the last year. Small saplings are attempting to retake the clearing, but the area is dominated by a massive thatch structure rising from the hilltop.
Standing at least 15 feet above the surrounding ground, the longhouse is triangular in cross-section. Two massive doorways gape open at either end of its 80-foot length, sunk down five or so feet below the surface of the surrounding earth. No chimneys or smoke rises from the leaf- and grass-covered roof; the interior seems to be unlit and in deep shadow, despite the fact that it is obviously inhabited.
Should anyone approach closely enough to listen, they hear the sound of raucous laughter, a chaotic medley of voices speaking Draconic, and occasionally the unmistakable sound of a brawl.
