Part 6: Amelia Faces the Edge

Looking out, blue stretched as far as the eye could see. The blue abyss consumed the horizon so Amelia couldn’t tell where the sky ended and the ocean began. She had to get home and warn the others. She had reached the edge of the world. Here there be monsters.

Amelia faces the edge of the world. She realises she must go back and contact the Dome Community. However, her the Explorer One (her vehicle) doesn't operate on the water. It does float but she cannot control it, no matter how hard she tries to get back to shore. Lost at sea, Amelia sees terrible marine monsters; plastic eating creatures and flying animals. She experiences night and morning for the first time. Consumed with despair and hopelessness, Amelia looks out into the abyss and wonders if she will ever return home.
