Trax

The Trax are the people native to the eastern and southern portion of the Traxan Crescent. These people are the result of intermingling between old Merkid settlers from the Second Era, indigenous groups, and early Third Era Erikadian migrants. Though many similarities, and a common language, this group is distinct form the Erikadians. The most obvious example is in religiosity. Most Erikadians are to some degree members of the Temple of Sevina, where as Trax people generally are followers of Jasceenea along with indigenous spirits. Most Trax people prefer their independence, and are not in favor of the control held by the Kingdom of Erikadia on their islands. Most simply ignore or pay lip service to the Royal government, but many are also active in resisting the royal government. Most of the Black Sails Brethren are of Trax descent.
