Northern Wastes

The Northern Wastes, or Dedževā Vetī /ˈdɪdʒɪveɪ̯.ˈvɪtiː/, is a desolate frozen wasteland, occupying a large portion of north-central Mis̀tapidna, bounded on the north by the Ice Spire Mountains and the south by forest.
Like any large area, the Northern Wastes are not just one terrain. There are many different regions within the Wastes:

The Shattered Lands (Mōbōt Īnnai) —

The Steam Vents (Važedīv) — A region in the foothils of the Ice Spire Mountains checkered with vents that periodically release steam.

The Fallen Lands (Nībaiōt Danda) — A frozen plain with thousands of sink holes.

Traditional tundra (žažalā) on the eastern and western borders

Crystal Worm. Lives in steam vents.
